Community

Bright Star Community.

We run succcessful programmes in the community to support vulnerable groups. These are varied, using both boxing and our Bright Star values to support different groups of people with their goals and life changes.

Our programmes include our Counterpunch sessions to support better mental health, Empower sessions for anyone unemployed and our new Stay True programme for those at risk of criminal exploitation.

If you would like to get involved in any of our programmes, make a referral or find out more, please contact Joe Lockley on joe.lockley@brightstarboxing.com or call 07966 416267.

Empower

Our Empower groups support anyone who’s unemployed. Over weekly sessions, participants gain up to 9 qualifications; including our Bright Star Boxing Awards, First Aid andLevel 2 Customer Care.

Counterpunch

We offer separate male and female Counterpunch sessions which combine talking with boxing. They’re a welcoming space for all, supporting better mental health.

Stay True

Stay True is a new Bright Star initiative, using a child-centered approach to support young people at risk of criminal exploitation. This is from local authority referrals only.

About Us

At Bright Star, we use boxing and our values to inspire and empower. Whether that’s through our boxing academy, our alternative education programmes or our community sessions, we support every single person to positively impact their life.
