Alternative Provision & Education

We have an award winning alternative provision programme that has proven to have a huge impact on so many young people locally.

Primary School Boxing Festival held at the Bright Star Boxing Academy

The Bright Star Boxing Futures Programme

The Bright Star Futures Programme is our alternative provision, we work with young people with challenging behaviour or at risk of being expelled or NEET. We have had some incredible success stories and have been able to reengage vulnerable young people back into school and completely change their life around.

The futures programme in one full day a week over a minimum of 1 term period. The students will gain a minimum of 2 qualifications and will go skills listed below as well as having a proven positive impact on: school attendance, self-confidence, positive attitude, behaviour, social and community development, self-esteem and physical activity levels.

We use boxing as the motivation to engage the young people, then whilst engaged with boxing we add a holistic approach to transforming the lives of the young people.

We work with young people aged 11-18 and any schools, colleges or pupil referral units can refer into this programme.

In order to be at the top and maintain your focus you have to have something that motivates you. For me, it was what I perceived as a lack of respect from the boxing world as well as the media, which made me want to work so hard and be great.
